Marketing Copywriter for digital marketing agency
Ellipsis Marketing, a digital marketing agency, is looking for an expert copywriter who loves solving marketing problems.
Ellipsis solves marketing problems for online businesses. We’re a smart, ethical team that does good work, and is in demand. We need you on board to own and take care of copy for clients. We mostly work with WordPress businesses (both companies selling products, and other agencies selling website services), providing strategic guidance and practical implementation to help clients grow.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Writing long-form, SEO and publishing-ready blog posts
- Writing and editing product pages
- Helping clients develop copy and content strategies
- Crafting sales email newsletter campaigns
- Other copy work clients need, such as writing up case studies
What you need: You should be a great copywriter, able to tie copy into marketing. You should have experience with WordPress, with “power user” skills and involvement in the WordPress community through WordCamps or meetups preferred. A firm understanding of content marketing, SEO, and experience tying copy to marketing outcomes for products and services are also important.
Who we are: Ellipsis strives to be an ethical company that’s a great place to work, and produces value for its clients. We primarily solve marketing problems for WordPress businesses. Existing projects include managing marketing for a SaaS product, assisting WordPress theme and plugin businesses with their marketing, and helping WordPress agencies get more clients. We do really good work, and are in demand.
How we work: We’re a fully remote company, with everything running through Basecamp for an all-in-one place, relaxed, and non-interruptive working environment. We want you to be empowered to do your best work, and the business is structured around this 🙂
How you’ll work: You’ll be a member of the Ellipsis team. This position is freelance, and 5-8 days/month. This typically breaks down into a day or two a week. There’ll be potential to grow these hours to full time should this be of interest.
We're keen to find and grow with the right person, so if you're a great fit for this already – or are great at copy but fascinated by marketing and haven't had the chance to prove it yet – please do apply or get in touch for further details. Thank you.
How to apply?
Please apply by sending some brief notes to email@example.com on why you’d be a good fit for this role including how your experience matches the requirements above, your day rate, and some examples of work you've done which fit the responsibilities.
